Blue and Brown

We finally presented the blue and brown wonky quilt to its intended party, we had been planning to five it to her way back in November 2010. I guess we are were a little busy this year I know I have been. Any way i think she was a happy lady, her little girl was happy too I think she was thinking it was for her. It fun going to her home as her whole family was there her husband took our picture. Miss patty Pickle miss Kristen pickle and My self went to give it too her and they are just the best at breaking the silence and making everything go smooth, Thank you lady's!!!
These are all the blocks that were left from the Original quilt I had the Lady's make a few extra so that we could have enough to make a small quilt for quilts shows and to have a remembrance of the quilts we made and donated, but we thought it best be used by someone going through a life's challenge.
I just love this quilt!!!
We even put her name in the quilting!
I hope this brings comfort for years to come!! Thank you to all the pickles that helped make this possible!!

Christmas Tree Festival

This was the second quilt Pink Pickles made for donation! I really love this one, it turned out beautiful!

This is the first quilt the the Pink Pickles did for charity, it went to the Festival of Tree's and all proceeds are donated to the Primary Children's Hospital. I go to this every year and every year I just bawl my eyes out, looking at all the children in the pictures is so sad.
I don't know why but when I walked up to look at our quilts and saw the sign on them I started to cry. And could not stop the whole time I was around them. Maybe I'm just weird!!!

Here are a few other quilts at the festival That I liked and maybe might make a few of them!
I took a pic of this one because I liked the fabric! LOL. Oh ya and the old sewing machine!
This one was a cool Christmas count down and I had saw a quilt made the same way earlier, Loved the bent tree!
We all know why I took a pic of this one? Cause I just love Pink n black, plus it was a cool pattern.

As Olivia would say..... Dee Haw!!!!!

Here is that bent tree again, but not as a count down!
Love this one!!

And this one! Love the purple and Green combo!
this one had to be the biggest one there, it was so pretty!!

Your kidding me...... RIGHT?

Align Center Wow I'm not even sure if I can put into word's how I am feeling at this moment, disappointment to say the least. Wow!!!! I can't believe people can be so stupid!! Here's the story... we donated this quilt to a local cancer institute They held a women's golf outing and a silent auction I put a tag on this quilt before it went out the door pinned it to the quilt and put it in a zippered bag. It was to go for NO LESS than $400 yes that is four Hundred dollars. I got an email today saying that it went for forty dollars, YES that is $40 dollars. I emailed the lady back and ask her if that was a typo cause it had to be Right? LOL NO it only went for forty dollars. HMMMMM. Wow!! You are kidding me right? Because you did not just sale a quilt that several woman from a quilt group put lots of time and money into this quilt, the back fabric alone was more a
than forty dollars. WOW! I'm very impressed with the idiotsy not sure if that is a word but.... oh well . Well one thing is for sure the next quilt we donate WILL NOT be going to this foundation again. Not worth my time or money. If we would have just give them the money that we all put into it it would have been a lot more of a donation and NO time involved, None, Nada, zero, zilch. get the picture. Hell I would have givin them forty for it and kept it for me. Wow! I still am having trouble wrapping my brain around this.

Long Distance Pink Pickle - Wonky Log Cabin Blocks

Hey there y'all,

This is Anna from down south in San Antonio, TX. I'm the long distance, virtual, remote, pink pickle (I think there is one other but not in SA). I wanted to show you the wonky log cabin blocks I've made so far for the pickle quilt. I hope you like them. I've had lots of fun making them.

Two down, only four more to go. I might make a couple of extra, just in case. Have a great Easter weekend!

Happy Stitches,

Anna
