Latest UFO

This quilt I started over eight years ago. It was a class I took from an amazing quilter named Peggy Waltman. I had my doubts as to weather I would be able to finish it but eventually, I did.

It's called Whimsical Star and I love it!

Here is a close-up of the blocks.

Why did it take so long? Well, Tammy actually made the blocks to this quilt rather quickly. There were amazing all on their own. It was the applique on the border that slowed her down. Once finished and tucked away in a box with no idea how to quilt it, the UFO sat. I am so excited to see it done and on her wall. HOLY COW! IT'S GORGEOUS! Not to mention it tasty eye candy. Great job Tammy. You are my hero!

Wow, what an accomplishment. I have never seen that block before. Is it paper pieced?
