Christmas Tree Festival

This was the second quilt Pink Pickles made for donation! I really love this one, it turned out beautiful!

This is the first quilt the the Pink Pickles did for charity, it went to the Festival of Tree's and all proceeds are donated to the Primary Children's Hospital. I go to this every year and every year I just bawl my eyes out, looking at all the children in the pictures is so sad.
I don't know why but when I walked up to look at our quilts and saw the sign on them I started to cry. And could not stop the whole time I was around them. Maybe I'm just weird!!!

Here are a few other quilts at the festival That I liked and maybe might make a few of them!
I took a pic of this one because I liked the fabric! LOL. Oh ya and the old sewing machine!
This one was a cool Christmas count down and I had saw a quilt made the same way earlier, Loved the bent tree!
We all know why I took a pic of this one? Cause I just love Pink n black, plus it was a cool pattern.

As Olivia would say..... Dee Haw!!!!!

Here is that bent tree again, but not as a count down!
Love this one!!

And this one! Love the purple and Green combo!
this one had to be the biggest one there, it was so pretty!!

Taylors X-mas Quilt

Here is the quilt That I made for my son Taylor for Christmas this year. I try to make my kids a quilt for each Christmas, at least for the last two to three years. I'm also trying to make them one for the main holidays, like Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July and maybe just a winter and a fall/ spring and summer and then there are the themed quilts, OH MY! I'm out of control.
Here is my sweet little Olivia clinging to mommy's feet and climbing all over the quilt I lay out.LOL But she is a cutie so she can climb all over my quilts.
Anyway this is a pattern from the MayWoods studio called Mr. Snowman, using her fabrics also, I change up a few things, the original called for appliqued snow men and I'm just not an applique person, don't get me wrong I like it it's just I don't do it well or have the patience to do it right.
Sorry these pics are kinda really white! But here is a pic of the free hand quilting I did on them I made up the snowflakes as I went along. This one I used triangle .
spirals here

Curly ques here I LOVE THIS ONE this is the one I came up with on paper then as I was quilting came up with the others.
squares
Double circles! I also did a few other but must have not got the pics of them, I did a heart and a couple of them with mixed shaped on them. I'm so proud of my self, I really love how it turned out. It was more work than other quilt's I have done but so worth it!

another finish!

Here is a Oct finish that i forgot to post! I made this fun checker board table runner for my kids to play with. I'm thinking I may make one for every holiday. On this one I forgot to add a pocket for the pieces to go in, but I think I can still add one, so maybe by next year it will have a pocket.

I have not yet painted the checker pieces, but here is the quilting on the back. I did it using my regular machine, I don't know how these women do that on BIG quilts I have having trouble with this little thing. Thank GOD for long arms! That's all I have to say!

I really suck.....

At taking photo's that is, I tried three different places to take this pic the wind was just blowing way too much. Se the wet corner I kinda dipped it in the snow ( dang it). Beside they are not even straight in the pic, WTF? I was not drinking when I took this pic. I guess I'll just keep plugging away on that. Anyway here is my PINK Halloween quilt. While collecting fabrics for this quilt I got a lot of looks when I would tell them I was making Halloween pink, I just said every holiday should be PINK. What do you think? Just not sure how st. Patrick's will work into that. HMM...

I really love this quilt, this one is for my sweet little angle baby, Olivia. I am making my self a matching one, my back ground will be white and my inner border pink and my out border black and gray. Just need to get the quilting done on it but thought I would share before I do that, in case its not done by Halloween.

I cheated!!!!

Yes, I did it I cheated! I need to make a quick quilt for my little sweet baby, for her new toddler bed. So I had this cute panel and I cut it apart to try to make it look more pieced not sure it made much difference but I did have to add to the panel so I wanted everything to look the same.

Here is the quilting I put on it.
Sorry for all the un professional pics.

A gift for my Bella B!

Isabella needed a curtain for her new room So I , (being her Mema) needed to make her one, well since she had a new curtain for her new room I thought it would be only appropriate for her to have a matching Quilt.
This quilt was way out of the norm for me, Since it was Tinker Bell she wanted I was very limited to were to buy the fabric, Walmart was pretty much the only choice I had. Since this quilt was just for fun WHY not? Well it turned out ok, I just hope it last at least through her TINK stage. But can I just say that that fabric sucks to sew? My quilting machine did not even like it, it messed the tension all up. I put all walmart on the front of the quilt but on the back I put good stuff cause it was cheaper to buy on clearance than wal mart, the binding is also the good stuff. It was like sewing on sand paper. Any way she really Loved it and that is all that counts. Boy the thinks us Grandma's do to make there Sweet grand babys Happy!!!!!

Ghostie's!!!

Here is a pic of the quilt I saw in a quilt shop and wanted to make one of my own, so I pulled out the stash of Halloween and came up with this.....
All is from my stash except for the black spiderweb back ground. Now mine is not exactly the same cause I just made it up my self with out a patten. The original had little pockets going all around the border to put candy in. I opted out of that one .
The ghost's are made from half of a Hanky!

Another UFO sighting!!!

This is a quilt that I did for Taylor to put on his bed for Halloween. I finally finished it, it always takes me a whole to finish them completely because I really don't like to do the binding, but I have been trying to get on the ball and finish all my unfinished projects, so here is one more down Waa Hoo!!!
Everything glows in the dark on this quilt, everything but the green inner border and the binding.
It also has a pieced back and most of it glows in the dark.

Stars and Stripes!

This a quilt I finished very quickly Thanks to Some sweet pickle who had a hand in it. I could not have finished this without you lady's. I sure wish I had you all the time to help with my own quilts.LOL. I decide to make this quilt for Kaleb who is my Granddaughter's Dad , He served in over in Afghanistan and just returned on Memorial weekend. He even got a police and firetruck escort home, how cool is that?
This is the back of the quilt!

Not sure how this got side ways in the camera! I was pointing straight!????????HMMM.
I liked this quilt so much I have decided to make one for me just like it, but I may make it like a great big flag on the back! I wonder if I can count this for a UFO project? It only took about six weeks to complete it, and that is not working on it constantly.
